Formula & Methodology
The tool calculates the required tile count using the following formula:
Tiles Needed = (Area / Tile Area) × (1 + Waste%)
- Area: Length × Width of the floor or wall
- Tile Area: (Tile Length + Grout Width) × (Tile Width + Grout Width)
- Waste%: Extra percentage added to account for cutting errors, tile breakage, and pattern layout
