Overview
Mega Millions requires selecting 5 white balls (1–70) plus 1 gold Mega Ball (1–25). This tool lets you choose from different selection strategies—random, odd/even balance, hot/cold bias, fixed picks, or unique-line—and generates as many lines as you like.
Explanation & Methodology
Random: Picks 5 unique numbers from 1–70 and 1 Mega Ball from 1–25 at random.
Odd-Even Balance: For the white balls, enforces a roughly 3/2 or 2/3 odd/even split, then selects a random Mega Ball.
Fixed Numbers: You supply one or more fixed white numbers; the remaining whites fill at random, plus one random Mega Ball.
Hot/Cold Analysis: Biased selection toward frequently drawn (“hot”) or rarely drawn (“cold”) numbers while maintaining uniqueness.
Unique Numbers: Generates multiple lines, ensuring no two lines share the same 6-number combination.
Example Calculation
If you want 2 Mega Millions lines with “Hot/Cold Analysis” and include Mega Ball, click “Generate.”
Example output might be:
- Line 1: 3, 18, 25, 47, 65 | Mega Ball: 9
- Line 2: 7, 22, 31, 54, 69 | Mega Ball: 14
Explanation: Each line has 5 white balls (1–70) and one Mega Ball (1–25), chosen with a simulated hot/cold bias for the whites.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the Mega Ball chosen?
When “Include Mega Ball” is checked (default), the script picks 1 number from 1–25. Uncheck it to skip the Mega Ball.
Can I generate multiple lines at once?
Yes—set “Number of Lines” to your desired quantity. If “Ensure Unique Number Sets” is checked, each line’s 6 numbers (5 whites + 1 gold) will be unique.
Will this improve my chances?
No. Mega Millions is random. This tool simply automates number selection in various patterns for convenience.
Why separate white balls and the Mega Ball?
The white balls are drawn from 1–70 and Mega Ball from 1–25. Having two separate pools greatly reduces overall odds.
